One of the more confusing aspects of screenplays are the various “schools” created around the various steps in story structure. Originally, getting a hero through a story was a 3 step structure from the 1) beginning to the 2) middle and then the 3) end of a story. But during the flood of screenwriting books and theories in the past 20 years, the 3 steps have grown into more sequences.
